I am using my usual winter/commuter bike for the tour with mudguards removed and pannier rack and bags added on.

The bike is a Canyon Inflite AL 9.0S, which is a road version of Canyon’s CX model. Strictly speaking it’s not a tourer bike and lacks eyelets for attaching the pannier rack.

The rack is a Bontrager Lightweight Back Rack. I needed some p-clips to attach it to the seat stays, which was pretty straightforward.

The pannier bags (only half loaded in the pic above) are Ortlieb Back Roller Classic QL2.1. They seem pretty big and should fit all the kit I need to take with me on the trip. They were easy to fit on to the rack.
